Hi there! Welcome to my colorful world and thank you for being here. My name is Nadya, also known as Hope. I am an artist living and creating currently in Los Angeles, CA. I've started my artistic journey pretty early in life back in my motherland Bulgaria where my dad, also an artist introduced me to creative expression and its beauty. I immediately knew art is going to be my path and a way to find my voice in the world.
Later on, I entered the fashion industry, modeled for many years and fell in love with the textiles and patterns and the ability to express yourself through what you wear. The idea of Hope Lamber was born years ago when I decided that I wasn't interested in wearing the same clothes everyone is. That's when I started combining the two worlds - art and fashion and started customizing clothes using my imagination. My motivation was that I wanted to wear unique wearable art that expresses my individuality and inner universe. One of my biggest beliefs is that we all should walk this world as our true selves and what we wear plays a huge role in expressing our uniqueness. Combining personal symbols, colors and shapes I also customize shoes, bags and literally all wearbles turning them into pieces of art. After obtaining my art degree, I continued to create paintings using various mediums mainly focused on the human eye and depth of human features. My paintings are inspired by my personal soul search and the journey of self discovery.
In my work, I am also focusing on the collective and its universal struggles and its search for meaning and connection. In my pursue to discover all the layers that art has to offer, I work with many other mediums like ceramics, clay, murals, home decor. During the lockdown in 2020, I also discovered my love for jewelry making. Turning everything around me into a piece of art has become my life's mission. Parallel to my artistic journey, I've taken to opportunity to explore the depth of the Quantum and various spiritual, mental tools and philosophies to better my life and become my most authentic self. After becoming a reiki practitioner, I've hosted multiple meditations, reiki sessions, wellness events and I believe in the strong connection between spirituality and art. Most of my paintings and wearable art are also infused with high frequencies.
Choosing to lead a creative life beyond fear hasn't been an easy path but I would never have it any other way and will continue to search for magic using my art tools. Art has always been a way for human beings to connect, provoke and awaken. From bringing a smile to someone's face to making history, art has always fascinated us, brought us together and helped us evolve. My wish is that I will continue to be a channel for creativity, because as David Orr said: ''the world needs more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers, and lovers of every kind.'' I would also add to that art warriors.
